Charlie Jo Designs + Fine Art is an independent artist based in Dallas, Texas, founded by Charlotte (Charlie) Jo Tanner, originally from Newport Beach, California. Original artwork is approached with scale, palette, and placement in mind, allowing each piece to complement the spaces it inhabits, whether commissioned or collected. Inspired by gardens and a sense of place, the work draws from the wide-open spaces of Texas and the coastal light of California.

With over a decade of experience, Charlie’s paintings reflect a thoughtful balance of color and composition, with close attention to how art lives within a home. The work is collected in homes across the United States.

Outside of the studio, life is shared with Bixby, Charlie’s Australian Shepherd, who’s often nearby, and her boyfriend, Nathan. Alongside the studio practice, Charlie works in the commercial interior design world at Royer Commercial Interiors. Time away from painting is usually spent cooking, baking, traveling, and designing, with these everyday moments quietly influencing her work.
